well-known, well-tested and well-liked relationship
education program for couples at all stages of
relationship. Singles and individuals can also
find benefit for all the relationships in your life. The workshop sessions focus on:

expectations and filters when listening can
sabotage the relationship
how to build fun
and friendship into the relationship

resolving conflict effectively and lovingly

forgiveness -
what is it and what is it not?
reconciliation: what is it and what is it not?
How to reconcile.
Commitment:
the 2 faces of commitment; how to nurture

Open to
individuals, couples and to pairs of people in other
relationships (siblings, friends, etc).
Individuals who
attend by themselves can be be paired up with one or
more individuals for skills practice. Open to
couples in any relationship stage and/ orientation who have a functional,
reasonably healthy relationship or are willing to
work to improve theirs.
Other
2-party relationships such as siblings, parent
and adult-child or friends could benefit and
participate, though 1 section in session 6,
Sensuality and Sexuality, might not apply.
Based on
up-to-date research, PREP is designed to teach
couples the skills and attitudes associated with
marital or relationship success and happiness, and
how to reduce the factors that cause distress and
unhappiness.
This workshop is
educational and experiential in nature, and
offers skill-building models and practice for
communication and relationship enhancement.
PREP is NOT designed
to address serious relationship or individual
problems such as domestic violence, substance
abuse/ addictions or other compulsive behaviors,
or mental health problems. This program is also
not a substitute for marriage counseling or
therapy, though it may be used in conjunction.
